whee~ today was the studio recording.

the studio was super ulu.. somewhere near clarke quay. had a hard time finding it -_-"

anyway the recording was... haha. okayy lahs.. it's not like singing kbox :( the studio was interesting.. i was singing to the mic and in front of me were the lyrics and a small screen showing what was happening in the control room :) so in the control room there was also a TV showing what i was doing in the studio. haha.

but then i don't think my singing was terrific. i think it doesn't sound nice :( i sounded like a guy lahs!! haha.. the song was originally written for guys anyway.. ( coz daryl wrote it as he sang the tune ) so the range was darn funny. from the headphones i could clearly hear my voice as i sang. haha.. i sounded kanasai at some parts. :(

but computer does wonders! i sang the song over and over again and the guy corrected the kanasai parts by cutting the better ones from the previous recordings and replacing the shit ones. hohoho :) then i realised it's quite impossible to sing a perfect one in one recording loh.. so must seek help from computer lahs!! :)

the first few recordings couldn't make it man.. but it was better after warming up. i still don't think the final one was good enough though -_-" perfectionism. the final one was super edited man.. haha. li yi said i sang damn fast like rushing to somewhere like that. hahaha so he corrected my tempo and some off-notes too! haha computer rocks lahs.

conclusion.. i must sing a song that is more suitable for my range =X

but it was quite fun lahs.. li yi said i've got a unique voice and a sweet smile!! haha so must include me in the MV =D then we fiddled around with the stuffs in the studio.. bleahz. heard the equipments in the studio cost around half a million.

then we were discussing about LIVE singing.. coz there was a LIVE concert at orchard on 933 at that time.. and we tuned in. so funny lahs huang yida went totally out of tune!! gosh. and that guy in the studio said there was once he attended this LIVE concert.. the singing was good.. everything seemed fine. but he almost vomited after he listened to the LIVE recording. haha!

conclusions again:

1) singings in an album are fake!! all computer edited. singers don't sing as well as they sound in the CD.

2) LIVE singing is tough. singers go out of tune unknowingly. haha! :)


after the recording which was around 10pm already... we went to eat at lau pa sat. ^_^ die liao.. never study again.. i'm super lagging behind my own schedule now.
